Friends' Newsletters

---- Connecting with all the community of Troopers Hill ----

We are delighted that, after a break of a few years, we are again able to produce a regular printed newsletter that we can distribute to local people who do not have easy access to the internet.

'Super Trooper' - July 2023 Edition

The second (July 2023) edition of our new newsletter 'Super Trooper' is now available to download.

Find out why Rosie joins our Conservation Work Parties and learn more about the wonderful biodiversity of Troopers Hill with ecologist rupert Higgins.

This edition also has guide to becoming a Bug dectective for younger readers.

If you know of someone who would like to receive a printed copy, please Contact Us

Or, if you can, please download and print a copy to share.

Printed copies of 'Super Trooper' will also be available at all Troopers Hill Events.

'Super Trooper' is produced by our volunteer editor, Ruth Semple, and will be published three or four times each year. If you have ideas for content please email

2006 - 2015

From March 2006 to December 2015 we used the title "The Hill" for our newsletters but, as described in the Winter 2015/16 edition, this ended when our editor moved on from Bristol.

During the early part of this period (before facebook and twitter became so popular) we also posted news on a forum on this website.
