St George Neighbourhood Partnership Wellbeing Grants 2012/13

Small Grants Available to Deliver Projects in St George

If you are a community or voluntary organisation working in St George you could apply for a grant from the Neighbourhood Partnership Wellbeing Fund.

There is a total of £20,000 available for the 2012/13 financial year. If you are not part of a group but have a good idea that needs a grant then contact Abdul Razak and he may be able to find a group work with you.

The partnership are looking for projects that will deliver against the following priorities:

* Providing or improving community facilities, activities and services

* Stopping dog fouling, litter and flytipping

* Improving the environment and its appearance: Parks, green spaces and the neighbourhood including shopping areas

* Addressing traffic & transport issues (includes parking, speeding and lack of public transport)

* Promoting community cohesion and engagement - celebration events can be a good way of achieving this.

You can apply using the application form below. They will normally award grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 but they will be happy to discuss smaller or larger projects. Please read the guidance notes before completing your aplication.

St George West Community First

For projects in St George West you can also apply for funds from the Community First Panel.

Grants awarded from this fund need to be match funded £ for £, but this can be done by using volunteer hours for the project. With this fund you can value a volunteer hour at £11.09 per hour. You can also ask people or companies to contribute goods or services of value to your project or cash. You might also be able to use money awarded from the St George Wellbeing Fund as match funding.
