Troopers Hill Photo 13

<< Previous  Next >>

This photograph shows an area of the Hill where bell heather has spread significantly. The 1994 shot shows an area of grassland with scattered small plants of ling. Bell heather then colonised the area and has become much more abundant and vigorous by 2002. The hawthorn scrub in the centre right of the photo has also grown significantly by 2004. All these trends can be seen to have continued in the later photos.

The 2011 photo shows increased vigour of heather, but trees and scrub along gully in the centre of picture are much taller.
