St Anne's Woods - Information

By St Annes Well

View in Google Maps
St Anne's Woods are in the valley of the Brislington Brook at its northern end, just before it joins the River Avon. At the south end the valley has steeply wooded sides; then as the Brook flows north towards the Avon, the valley opens out into some areas of meadow. It is here that the ancient St Anne's Well can be found. You can read more about the history of the site in this Bristol Times article.

There is an entrance off the roundabout at the north end through a galvanised gate and various other entrances around the site.

St Anne's Wood is badly in need of some help to bring it back to its former glory - a report on a recent clean up can be seen here.
